Statistics for Malden High School
In Malden High School, we have taken polls that ask whether we've seen, used, or considered drugs. Realizing these statistics, this is why we've started the Malden High School's Purple Shirt Society.
So far 97 students have taken the survey between the ages of 11 and 19. The majority of the people who took the survey said that they do not use drugs(in a harmful manner). However that doesn't change the fact that there is a percentage of those who do.

Summary:
All of this info. may be a bit overwhelming, so here is what these statistics tell us: there are numerous
students just in Mr.Hurley's classes that have come into some contact with drugs in there life whether from seeing them
to actually doing them. The reasons vary (but all of them are important) from doing what friends do, to trying to
be in the "in-crowd", to trying to get by, and other reasons that we are not aware of at the current moment.
Important Points:
Statistics:
ATTENTION...ALL INFO ONLY COMES FROM ABOUT 5% OF THE POPULATION OF THE ENTIRE SCHOOL
Goals:
Consider taking drugs--44.3% -> 41.3%
tried drugs-- 31.6% --> 28.6%
continuosly do drugs--23.2%--> 20.2%
Who Do What:
App = guidance
Assembly + special guests = Educate
Purple Shirt Society = KEEP THE PERCENTAGES LOW( OR ZERO)!!!
Survey = Feedback
We need to double the amount of survey takers before using it anywhere outside the classroom
